Version 1 – October 2026

LintOut Service Agreement

This Service Agreement ("Agreement") is between LintOut ("LintOut", "we", "us") and the customer requesting service ("you"). By checking the agreement box when booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

1. Services

LintOut provides dryer vent cleaning, dryer vent repair, bird and pest guard installation, and dryer vent inspection services at residential properties in our service area.

The specific service, price, and appointment time are confirmed with you by email or phone before work begins. Submitting a booking request does not guarantee an appointment until we confirm it.

2. Pricing and Payment

Advertised prices are starting prices. The final price depends on the length, accessibility, and condition of your vent system and will be confirmed with you before any work is performed.

If we discover a condition on site that requires additional work, we will explain it and obtain your approval before proceeding. You are not obligated to approve additional work.

Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Access and Customer Responsibilities

You agree to provide safe, clear access to the dryer, the vent connection, and the exterior vent opening, including any required ladder access areas, gates, or entry codes.

You confirm that you are the owner of the property or are authorized by the owner to request and approve the services.

Please inform us in advance of any known hazards, pets, damaged components, or prior issues with your dryer or vent system.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment at no charge by contacting us at least 24 hours before the scheduled time.

We may need to reschedule due to weather, safety conditions, or unforeseen circumstances. If so, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange a new time.

5. Pre-Existing Conditions

Older, brittle, crushed, improperly installed, or non-code-compliant vent materials may be fragile. LintOut is not responsible for damage to components that were already deteriorated, improperly installed, or failing before service.

Cleaning a vent does not repair or correct defects in the dryer appliance itself. Where we notice a concern, we will let you know so you can decide how to proceed.

6. Inspections and Recommendations

Inspections and recommendations are based on a visual assessment of accessible portions of the vent system at the time of service. Concealed areas inside walls, ceilings, or floors may not be fully visible.

Our service reduces lint buildup, which is a known fire risk, but no service can guarantee that a fire or appliance failure will never occur. We recommend regular cleaning and following your dryer manufacturer’s maintenance instructions.

7. Photos

We may take before-and-after photos of the vent system and removed lint to document the work performed. Photos may be shared with you. We will not publish photos that identify you or your address without your permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, LintOut’s total liability for any claim related to the services is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. LintOut is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in this Agreement limits any rights you have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002, or any other law that cannot be waived.

9. Privacy

The information you provide when booking (name, contact details, and address) is used only to schedule, perform, and follow up on your service. We do not sell your personal information.

10. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario.
